Rácz Hotel and Rácz Thermal Spa – to be opened soon

The Rácz Hotel and Thermal Baths in Budapest have recently been refurbished and expected to be opening in 2014.

The five star hotel and the renowned thermal Budapest spa are nearly completed as architectural reconstruction and interior design are concerned, only a few details need to be finished. The exclusive hotel with the adjoining luxurious spa are located a few minutes walk from the magnificent Castle District, at the foot of the Gellért Hill, close to River Danube, near Elisabeth bridge.

There are 67 spacious and stylish rooms in the deluxe hotel with exceptionally picturesque views of Buda Castle. Hotel guests can enjoy direct free access to Rácz Thermal Spa. On the site of the current thermal spa a hot-water bath house stood in the 15th century. Later in the 16th century the Turks built the current octagonal vaulted hall and some of the rooms. With the originally elaborated Turkish Cupola, that used to be called Kücsük Ilica (Small Baths), the spa building is widely acclaimed for an original Turkish heritage. Two romantic style vaulted halls were added in the 19th century according to the plans of Ybl Miklós.

Rácz Thermal Spa is supplied by karst water. The medical benefits of the water are well known, it contains calcium, hydrogen-carbonate, magnesium, sulphate-chloride, sodium and fluoride ions. The Budapest Rácz spa with its services offer perfect recreation and its water is beneficial for arthritis, spine illnesses, circulatory problems, asthma and bronchitis. The complex has 11 pools. Water temperatures are 14˚C, 36˚C, 38˚C, 42˚C.

The Rácz Hotel and Thermal Baths in Budapest combine imposing grandeur with supreme comfort and excellent facilities. Rejuvenate your body and soul in one of the most splendid luxurious hotels and spa complexes of Budapest.
